ABOUT ADAM
Adam Jogee is the MP for Newcastle-under-Lyme, elected in July 2024. With deep roots in Staffordshire, he is committed to ensuring that everyone who lives, learns, and works in the constituency can thrive. His grandfather arrived from Jamaica in 1941 to serve in the British Armed Forces before settling in Staffordshire, where his mother was born and raised.
The values of hard work, determination, and public service, instilled by his family, continue to guide his work in Parliament.

Adam’s family history is one of resilience and service. His maternal grandfather served in the British Armed Forces before settling in Staffordshire, and his father moved from what was then Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, in 1979.
His parents’ experiences shaped his outlook, reinforcing the importance of opportunity, fairness, and community—values he carries into his work as an MP.
Before becoming an MP, Adam worked for the Shadow Waste Minister, focusing on environmental policy and tackling waste crime. This experience reinforced his commitment to ensuring that Walleys Quarry remains a priority.
He understands the lasting impact of environmental negligence on local communities and is determined to stop the toxic odours, harmful environmental damage, and health impacts of the quarry while also holding those responsible to account.

Adam lives in Newcastle-under-Lyme with his wife, Alison, and works every day to deliver for the people he represents.

As MP, Adam is focused on securing investment, improving local services, and ensuring Newcastle-under-Lyme gets the attention it deserves. His work in Parliament is shaped by his commitment to fairness, opportunity, and public service—values long rooted in Staffordshire.
He is also the first Black man to represent any constituency in the West Midlands, a historic milestone reflecting the progress of British democracy. His focus remains on ensuring that everyone in Newcastle-under-Lyme has the chance to succeed with the support and opportunities they need.
