I'm always keen to share opportunities that could benefit local organisations here in Newcastle-under-Lyme—and the latest announcement from the Asda Foundation is one worth highlighting.
From Wednesday 7th May 2025, the Asda Foundation will be opening applications for its next round of funding: the Local Community Spaces fund. This scheme is aimed at charities and not-for-profit organisations working to improve spaces that bring people together and make a real difference in our communities.
Key details:
What’s available: Grants ranging from £10,000 to £20,000
Who can apply: Charities and community groups that benefit local people
Application window: 7th May – 28th May 2025
The total value of the fund is £1 million, and it’s intended to support projects that create or improve spaces where people can connect, share, and thrive.
Whether you're part of a local charity, a residents' group, or any other community-focused organisation, this could be an excellent opportunity to access funding for much-needed projects.
