Following the news of our new "Best Start" Family Hub in Knutton, I am delighted to share another major win for the next generation here in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) has been allocated over £2.7 million as part of the new FE College Condition Allocations.
We should all be incredibly proud of our local college. As an "Outstanding" institution, it is already a thriving hub of learning, but for too long, the further education sector across the country has been overlooked. This investment isn't just about maintaining buildings; it’s about matching the massive ambition of our young people with the world-class facilities they deserve.
Matching ambition with opportunity
I saw the value the college adds to our area first-hand just a few weeks ago at the launch of the Drayton Beaumont Academy. It was a fantastic event and a clear example of how Newcastle College is providing practical, direct routes into high-skilled careers for local students.

To keep that momentum going, we must ensure our high-performing colleges have the high-quality environments to match. Whether it is training the engineers, designers, or bricklayers of the future, our students should be able to focus and succeed in spaces that reflect the world-class teaching they receive.
This funding ensures that NSCG can maintain its estate to the highest possible standard.
