It was great to visit St John’s Church of England Primary School in Keele and spend time with staff and pupils. I was warmly welcomed by Headteacher Mrs Bailey and Deputy Head Miss Moulton, who kindly gave me a tour of the school and introduced me to each year group.
I had the pleasure of meeting every class and sitting down with the School Parliament. I was also presented with posters about the issues that matter to the students most — from potholes to homelessness. It’s always inspiring to speak with our young people and to hear their ideas and questions about the world around us.
One thing that came up during the visit is that the school is currently recruiting a Premises Assistant (Caretaker) to help keep the site safe, secure and well maintained.

Thank you again to everyone at St John’s for such a warm welcome — I look forward to visiting again soon.
